What is Direct Primary Care?
Simply stated Direct Care is Provider based healthcare. Instead of being plan or insurance company centric, Direct Care creates the doctor-patient relationship as the anchor of the healthcare experience. This model puts patients first without mandates from an insurance company or a third-party payer.
Direct Care at Choice Family Primary Care and Urgent Care is membership based, just like Costco or your gym membership, so instead of a large copay, deductible, or coinsurance, etc., you become a valued member of a healthcare organization where you have direct and priority access to quality medical care, as much as you need.
Unlimited Office Visits.
Yes, that is correct, we will not limit how many times you need to see a provider in a year. We know you and your family need access to healthcare, and too often deductibles, copays, networks, etc., can get in the way. Most healthcare experts know that approximately 80% of healthcare access comes in the form of Primary Care. With services like basic lab testing, X-Ray, and providers who can take the time to get to know you, our goal is to keep you healthy.
More time to get to know you.
It’s a well established fact that most office visits to your primary care provider last less than 15 minutes. How many solid relationships have you established in 15 minutes? Direct Care eliminates this problem because we don’t answer to a big medical corporation or an insurance company. Relationships with Members is how healthcare started, patient to provider, no middle-man. Time to treat your urgent needs and your long-term medical needs. Finally, you have a choice, Choice Family Primary Care and Urgent Care.
Shy about commitment?
We get that. Everyone is welcome at the Urgent Care with commercial insurance or cash basis.
What about Insurance?
Do you take insurance?
Choice Family will bill most commercial medical insurance plans, but we are not contracted as “in-network” with all of them. We currently have in-network contract agreements with: Aetna, Regence Blue Shield, Asuris NW Health, Premera Blue Cross, CIGNA, and Lifewise. We will also bill, United Healthcare, MutiPlan, First Choice, AM Better, and a host of others.
What's up with Medicare?
Like many folks we also get frustrated with government run healthcare organizations, and while we are not contracted and do not bill Medicare, Medicare patients can join as Members. When you consider the wait times to see a primary care doctor, why not make it simple. One low monthly fee for unlimited Primary and Urgent care.
What if I have Medicaid / Apple Health?
Finding providers where you can get access to high quality care without long waits can be difficult. While we are not contracted with any state Medicaid programs or MCO's, and we do not bill Medicaid plans, Medicaid members can sign up as Members. If you are tired of always waiting in line for that next doctor's appointment, come and join the family, Choice Family.
